Whitman Circle

The Whitman Circle is a community of Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) champions who provide vital funding for the library services that matter most to Brooklynites—like children and teen programming, adult literacy and ESOL classes, services for incarcerated patrons, personal finance workshops and of course, books.

Join the Whitman Circle to enjoy special access to the Library, including private literary events with inspiring authors, behind-the-scenes tours of BPL branches and prime seating at public events.

Donations can be made by credit card, check, wire, stock or recommended from DAFs and are fully tax-deductible. To send your membership gift by mail, please make your check payable to Brooklyn Public Library and send to:
