NYC History Day: Choosing a Topic Student Workshop

In this virtual workshop we will consider how to choose a topic for this year's History Day theme, "Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History." Students will gain a better understanding of the 2026 theme as well as strategies to brainstorm a topic for their own History Day project. Come ready with ideas and questions the New York City History Day Coordinator!

Open to all students and teachers. This workshop will be held on Zoom, the link will be sent out the morning of the event to all registrants. Please email nychd@bklynlibrary.org if you have any accessibility requests.

 

What is History Day? New York City History Day (NYCHD) is the regional contest for National History Day (NHD). New York City middle and high schoolers create projects based on original historical research Winners from NYCHD will have a chance to compete on the state and potentially national history day levels.
