Center for Brooklyn History Open House for College and University Faculty and Students
College and university students and faculty are invited to join us at the Center for Brooklyn History, at the Brooklyn Public Library, for an open house event on Thursday, November 6th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Come mix and mingle with other students and faculty interested in researching Brooklyn’s history, and find out how to use the resources of the Center for Brooklyn History for your research, teaching, and project goals.
Participants will learn from CBH archivists about the resources available at CBH, including the entire run of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper, 1,200 oral histories, and 2,000 historic maps, and how to make use of study spaces in the building like the Great Hall and Othmer Library.
Light refreshments will be served.
