Dearest Bookworms,
It is finally 2026, and according to trend predictions it is the year of Analog! 2025 was a little bit of a whirlwind for us all, and as a collective we are feeling the fatigue of constantly being online (as well as the overwhelming urge to throw our phones out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
As much as the staff love a funny tiktok, our bread and butter really is offline (although we do have amazing online resources I highly encourage you to check out!). Listed below is just a sample of the many wonderful analog things the library offers (that isn't just books)!
- The Board Game Library
- Programs (of all kinds!)
- Musical Instrument Lending, also sheet music
- Magazines & Newspapers (both digital and in person!)
- Chess Workshops (but depending on the branch you can borrow a chess set to play at the library)
- Vinyl Records
- Tools
- CulturePass (for free museum tickets)
- Telescopes
The library has so many resources, activities, and partnerships that can be useful when you are starting to feel a little too plugged in.
Go touch grass.
Sincerely,
Your Friendly Neighborhood Librarian
Katrina
