The spooky season is upon us! Today's Photo of the Week was surely meant to be a cheery holiday Eagle feature about the Visiting Nurse Association of Brooklyn's annual Halloween party for children, but ended up creepier than intended. I can’t even discern what the arms of the pumpkin doll might have looked like in the original photograph, but they must have been witheringly unclear so the trusty photo retouch team at the Eagle used their skills to beef them up, and thereby made one look like a long arm from the visiting nurse limply proffered to the little girl. The doll's other arm is heavily retouched as well to frame the little girl’s face. Altogether a suitably unsettling holiday image. Here's hoping your All Hallows' Eve is similarly off-kilter.
