New York City spends up to $20 billion per year on goods and services. Getting certified as a Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise, or MWBE, will help you compete for these opportunities and access exclusive programs to help your small business grow.

What you will learn at this clinic: 

  • Certification program overview
  • Registering in the Payee Information Portal (PIP)
  • Registering for product service (NIGP) codes
  • Starting a MWBE certification application

Participants can work one-on-one after the informational presentation to begin the application process or address specific questions.

The Virtual Saturdays Clinic is on the last Saturday of the month quarterly, starting on April 25, 2026. 

The next sessions will be: 

  • September 26th
  • November 28th

These clinics are presented by our partners at the Staten Island Business Outreach Center.
